Baltimore’s Faces of Homelessness Speakers’ Bureau challenges the deeply entrenched indifference many community members feel towards homelessness and poverty by engaging them in dialogues led by the true experts, those who have experienced it firsthand.

The Friday Dinner
Photograph by Bill ("Faces of Homelessness" Speaker)
Every Friday night at St Vincent de Paul's Church in downtown Baltimore church organizers and volunteers host a free dinner that is open to the public. Hundreds of people from around the City and from all walks of life come for the meal and the sense of community it helps create. We spoke with several people at the church last Friday to get a better understanding of who relies on this meal, what would happen if it wasn't offered, and what it means to those who depend on it.
